FACTORY PICKUP → PACKING INSPECTION → SHANGHAI PORT
Connect the factory pickup with the port handover
A DG truck booking is only part of the plan. Where will the container be packed? Who will inspect it on site, submit the photos and handle the EDI packing certificate? I connect the haulier, partner warehouse and declaration work before the vehicle is dispatched.

Origin services matched to your shipment
Factory container drayage
Coordinate empty-container delivery to the factory and transport after stuffing. Check inspection and reporting arrangements first, including whether a warehouse return is needed. A packed container is not automatically ready for terminal delivery.
Packaged DG pickup
For drums, IBCs and other packaged cargo, review the address, package counts, weights, dimensions and handling conditions before arranging a partner DG haulier to the agreed warehouse. Vehicle suitability and road-transport requirements are checked for the shipment.
Warehouse restuffing and securing
Where the factory lacks the required inspection or reporting arrangements, our operating route takes the packed container to a Shanghai partner warehouse for actual unstuffing and restuffing, on-site inspection, securing and packing records.
Loaded-container holding and delivery
If terminal plans require a wait, agree a suitable holding location, acceptance and charges in advance. Dispatch follows the actual receiving or direct-loading window; warehouse completion is not terminal acceptance.
A factory can load a container without being ready for the export packing process
Forklifts and loading staff answer one question. On-site inspection, site registration and electronic reporting answer another. Check both before agreeing the route and price.
FACTORY PACKING ROUTE
Conditions met: complete packing at the factory
- An appropriately qualified container packing inspector is present on site.
- The packing organisation, personnel and location have the applicable registration and access arrangements for Shanghai MSA’s remote packing management system.
- Photograph and submit the actual before/during/after work. Sign the packing certificate following satisfactory inspection and coordinate EDI submission.
Once these conditions and the shipment arrangements are confirmed, complete packing inspection and records at the factory, then coordinate filings and the agreed port handover. Factory stuffing does not automatically require restuffing.
PARTNER WAREHOUSE RETURN ARRANGEMENT
Conditions missing: return for warehouse restuffing
- Before dispatch, identify the missing factory conditions and confirm the partner warehouse’s acceptance.
- Move the packed container to the Shanghai partner warehouse. Physically unload and restuff the goods, with securing and an inspector present for the packing inspection.
- Photograph and submit the actual work, sign the dangerous goods container packing certificate following satisfactory inspection and coordinate its EDI submission.
Restuffing is not simply opening the doors for extra photos or obtaining paperwork unrelated to the work. Agree the additional transport, handling, time and charges before dispatch.
The packing inspector is not presented as a maritime enforcement officer. “Remote” refers to system management and reporting; it does not remove the inspector’s on-site role. Confirm current registration and processing requirements for the shipment.
One coordinated plan for the pickup, vehicle and warehouse
The factory-to-warehouse-to-port sequence in the company profile becomes a set of agreed responsibilities: who collects, where inspection and packing take place, who submits records and when the container is handed over. I coordinate the initial plan and key issues; THANKSTART operations handle daily arrangements, documents and updates. Agreed partner hauliers and warehouses perform the transport and site work.

Keep your ocean booking. Commission the origin work.
China-based forwarders and overseas agents can request trucking, DG filings and customs, or warehouse stuffing, DG filings and customs. Confirm restuffing, securing and the container handover point separately. Share the carrier, vessel/voyage, B/L reference, allocation and DG filing cut-off early.

- 01
Review cargo and pickup conditions
Check cargo information, packaging, weights and dimensions, the factory address, readiness date, handling conditions and existing booking. Leave uncertain classification pending; do not infer it from a product name.
- 02
Assign packing and reporting responsibilities
Agree the factory or warehouse route, inspector, actual work photos, certificate signing and EDI responsibilities. If restuffing is needed, allow for the site, vehicles and time.
- 03
Coordinate filings and container handover
Cargo filing can start once its inputs are ready. Bring packing records and responses together for the ship-agent stage. Track customs, VGM and terminal plans separately; deliver within the accepted window.
Agree the physical work before comparing the total price
Factory drayage, warehouse restuffing, securing, loaded-container holding and later transfers are different tasks. The shipment quotation should identify inclusions and additional charges. Warehouse stuffing and direct-to-vessel transfer are not the same service.

Does a forklift and loading crew make a factory ready for direct port delivery?
Not by themselves. Check the packing inspector, site registration, Shanghai MSA system photo submission and EDI packing-certificate arrangements, alongside the shipment’s filings and terminal acceptance.
Is restuffing just a warehouse visit for extra photos?
No. Under the warehouse-return arrangement we coordinate, the goods are physically unloaded and restuffed with an inspector present. Photos and the packing certificate must reflect the actual work; extra photos do not replace inspection.
Can unpacked cargo go directly to the warehouse for stuffing?
We can assess that route. If the factory lacks the relevant arrangements, sending packaged cargo to a partner warehouse may avoid factory stuffing followed by restuffing. Cargo, vehicle and warehouse acceptance and costs still need confirmation.
Can I use these services with my own ocean booking?
Yes, we can discuss a separate origin-service commission without taking over the ocean booking. Supply the booking details, filing cut-off and required scope so trucking, warehouse, DG filing and customs responsibilities can be agreed.
Start with the pickup address and packing conditions
If the factory’s arrangements are unclear, mark them as pending. Available details can start a discussion; completed maritime filing records are not needed for an initial enquiry.
