Chemical Logistics from Shanghai

Chemical freight from Shanghai, for both non-DG and DG cargo. Agree the product requirements and the work you need us to coordinate before fixing the shipment plan.

The short version

Two checks, not one label: is it dangerous goods for sea transport, and is hazardous-chemical export inspection applicable?

What does this service actually cover?

Tell me whether you need ocean booking, origin handling or a combination of services. The enquiry should identify the actual product, packaging, destination and cargo-ready date—not just a trade name and a request for a rate.

Sea-transport classification and hazardous-chemical export inspection need separate checks. We review available documents and identify gaps; the cargo guide below explains the difference between the relevant reports.

I coordinate the initial plan and key questions. Company operations handle routine booking, documents and milestone updates. Repacking, stuffing, securing, customs and applicable DG declarations are arranged within the agreed scope.

How does a shipment actually move?

These are coordination stages, not a rule that every activity waits for the previous one. Documents, loading and customs may progress in parallel.

  1. Identify the shipment

Send the actual product information, SDS, packaging, quantities and destination.

  2. Separate the two checks

Review sea-transport classification and applicable hazardous-chemical export inspection independently.

  3. Agree the service scope

Confirm FCL or LCL, any origin handling, the document gaps and the intended schedule.

  4. Coordinate the handover

Progress booking, declarations where applicable, customs and dispatch against the confirmed requirements.

What information and documents should we prepare?

Information for enquiry and subsequent review

  • Product information and matching SDSRequired

For our preliminary review. Explain any missing information or differences from the actual shipment.

  • Packaging, quantity, weights, destination and cargo-ready dateRequired

These establish the scope of the enquiry and the practical transport options.

  • Sea-transport appraisalConditional

Where needed to clarify classification or requested by the carrier; check product coverage, transport mode and acceptance.

  • Hazardous-chemical export inspection documentsConditional

Check independently. A hazardous-characteristics classification report serves a different purpose from a transport appraisal.

  • DG application, packaging evidence and later declaration recordsConditional

For applicable DG shipments, prepare documents by stage. Completed declaration records are not an initial enquiry prerequisite.

Not sure what you need?

Send what you have. An MSDS alone is enough for a first conversation, and it is easier to work out the gap from a real document than from a description.

What is different about this port?

Acceptance before warehouse delivery

Confirm the cargo, packaging, documents and warehouse handover before dispatch. For DG cargo, booking review and later maritime and ship-agent filings are different stages.

Origin services can be scoped separately

A forwarding partner may book the ocean leg and ask us to coordinate stuffing or trucking, declarations and customs. Confirm the interfaces and deadlines with the booking party first.

Questions I get asked most often

Can you help with non-DG chemicals?
Yes. We can review the shipment for an appropriate general cargo service. A non-DG transport conclusion does not remove other applicable export checks.
Can I ask only for origin handling?
Yes. Tell us what the booking party is arranging and whether you need stuffing, trucking, declarations or customs support. We agree the scope and handovers before dispatch.
Can you coordinate repacking into IBCs?
We can first review the request and check the product, container suitability and operating conditions with the relevant facility. This is not acceptance for every chemical.

Before you book

Classification, packing and acceptance remain subject to the current edition of applicable regulations, carrier review and port requirements. Final dangerous goods acceptance is made by the carrier after document review — submitting a request through this website is a preliminary assessment, not a booking confirmation.

Tell me your UN number and destination

Cargo name, UN number if you have it, quantity, packaging and destination port. If the classification is unclear, say so and send the MSDS.
