What this website is

RexForwarding.com is a professional information and enquiry site for Rex, an independent dangerous goods and international freight forwarding professional based in Shanghai. It exists to explain how difficult cargo actually moves, and to receive enquiries about shipments.

What a submission means — and does not mean

This is the most important section on this page.

Information provided by email is for preliminary assessment only. Final dangerous goods acceptance is subject to applicable regulations, carrier requirements, port requirements and document review.

That means a submission is not a booking. It is not a quotation. It is not a statement that a shipment will be accepted, and it is not a commitment to carry the cargo. Acceptance of dangerous goods is decided by the carrier after reviewing the documentation against their own current requirements, and nobody — including a forwarder — can guarantee that outcome in advance.

Information on this site is not regulatory advice

Content about dangerous goods classification, packing, declaration and carriage reflects operational experience and general understanding. It is not a substitute for the current edition of applicable regulations, for carrier requirements, or for advice on your specific shipment.

Requirements change. Regulations are revised, carrier policies change, and the same cargo can be treated differently by different carriers, routes and container types. Where a page states a typical value, that value is explicitly marked as typical rather than regulatory. Confirm before shipping.

Who you are contracting with

I handle initial shipment planning and coordinate key issues. Business is handled through THANKSTART, the company I co-founded, with our operations team managing day-to-day bookings, documents and milestone updates. Contracting, invoicing and service scope are confirmed in writing for each shipment.

Content written on this site belongs to Rex. You may quote from it with attribution and a link. Reproducing it in full, or republishing it, requires permission.

Liability

This site is provided as is. While care is taken to keep information accurate and current, no responsibility is accepted for decisions made solely on the basis of website content without independent confirmation.

Nothing on this site creates a contract or creates an obligation to carry cargo. An obligation arises only when a booking is confirmed and the relevant documentation has been accepted.
